About My Mother’s Diaries

My Mother’s Diaries is a personal family-history project created and run by Andy Vining.

The website, www.mymothersdiaries.co.uk, shares the diaries, photographs, memories and stories of the Vining family and Hiltonbury Farm in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information may be collected when you visit the website, contact me or become a Friend of My Mother’s Diaries, and how that information is used.

Information you may give me

If you use the Contact page, I may receive information such as your name, email address and the contents of your message.

If you choose to Become a Friend of My Mother’s Diaries, I may collect your name and email address so that I can occasionally send you news about new diary stories, podcast episodes, photographs and developments relating to the project.

If you voluntarily send me photographs, memories, stories or other material, I will use them only in connection with My Mother’s Diaries and will discuss with you before publishing material where appropriate.

Why I use your information

Personal information may be used to reply to enquiries, keep in touch with Friends of MMD who have asked to receive updates, administer and improve the website, and protect the website from misuse or technical problems.

Where you have specifically asked to receive Friends of MMD updates, the lawful basis is normally your consent. You can change your mind and ask to be removed at any time.

For ordinary enquiries and the proper administration of the website, information may be processed where there is a legitimate interest in responding to visitors and operating My Mother’s Diaries.
