My Mother’s Diaries brings my mother’s handwritten diaries from 1948 to 1976 back to life. Each episode follows our family through everyday life at Hiltonbury Farm in Chandler’s Ford — farming, weather, visitors, children, celebrations, illnesses, local events and the changing world beyond the farm gate.

The diaries were never written for publication. They were simply my mother’s record of life as it happened, which is what makes them so wonderfully honest today. Join me as we work our way through the years, one story at a time.
